Luke Spooner is a freelance illustrator from the South East of England. Since graduating from Portsmouth University with a First-Class degree in illustration Luke has gone on to work on a wide variety of projects and commissions, including; illustrations and covers for horror, science fiction and fantasy books, magazines, graphic novels, conceptual design, CD packaging and business branding. Luke has also illustrated children’s’ books for authors who aim to promote diversity and mindfulness in younger audiences.  Notable projects for his darker, ‘Carrion House’ style of work have included stories by Neil Gaiman and Clive Barker as part of 'Gutted: Beautiful Horror Stories' and 'Behold: Oddities Curiosities and Undefinable Wonders,' both released through Crystal Lake Publishing. He also provided artwork for two stories by Stephen King; one through 'You, Human,' released through Written Backwards and another through 'Gamut Magazine.' Luke also acts as the illustrator for every instalment of Jay Wilburn’s ongoing ‘Dead Song’ series of books.
