Maurice Broaddus

We are excited to announce the addition of award-winning author Maurice Broaddus to our lineup of featured writers for our upcoming series!

Maurice Broaddus is a community organizer and teacher whose work has appeared in places such as Cemetery Dance, Weird Tales, The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction, and Uncanny Magazine. His work as an editor of the Dark Faith anthology was nominated for both a Bram Stoker and a Black Quill Award.

His books include the urban fantasy novel King Maker, for which he the 2010 Golden Tentacle (Kitschies Award), the sci-fi novel Sweep of Stars, for which he was a Canopus Awards finalist, and the steampunk works Buffalo Soldier and Pimp My Airship, for which he won the Indiana Authors Award in Genre.

His middle grade detective novels include The Usual Suspects, a Junior Library Guild Gold Standard Selection, and Unfadeable. His project Sorcerers is currently being adapted as a television series for AMC.
